A girl appears on a rooftop, yelling at the oaf who grabbed Sakura. "Chunyan!" he shouts, as blood drips from his nose. The people in the marketplace shout out that the large man who was just called dumb by Chunyan is actually the son of The Ryanban, ruler of Koriyo. Chunyan exclaims that the Ryanban was merely a homeless magician a year ago; a rude statement which infuriates the dumb oaf. Despite his anger, he stomps away from the scene, saying he will be back for revenge.

Syaoran checks on Sakura, who assures him that she is alright. Chunyan expresses her anger at the condition of the marketplace after the Ryanban's son's nuisance. After peering at Syaoran and the group, she takes Sakura by the hand and insists they come with her.

In a small house Sakura and Syaoran stand perplexed. Apparently Chunyan mistook their group for the Amenosa, spies who investigate regional Ryanban to see if they are acting malevolently. Chunyan has been waiting for the Amenosa to show up in order to remove the evil Ryanban of their town, Ryonfi. Suddenly, a strong wind strikes the house and tears off the roof. Chunyan exclaims that it was the doing of the evil Ryanban!

At the Ryanban's residence, the Ryanban and his son discuss who these new people could be. Not knowing if they're Amenosa or not, the Ryanban looks to his secret power to aid him in keeping his power: a feather encased in an orb.
