Up on the roof, Kurogane protests the work he has to do on a house that is not his own. Fay informs him that it is the least he can do, as Chunyan will be letting them stay in the house for the night. The two then begin to discuss Sakura and how she only seems to eat and dizzily spin about. Fay mentions that without all of her feathers Sakura cannot even think straight. He then touches on the subject of Syaoran. He will continue to go to different worlds and face increasingly difficult challenges in order to restore Sakura, despite the fact that she won't remember him - it must be very painful for him.

Meanwhile, out in town, Syaoran, Sakura, Chunyan and Mokona search for the feather (though Chunyan doesn't know about the feathers.) They encounter a dice game - "Negi" - on the street, and Sakura is handed the dice. Her opponent rolls eleven, a tough score to beat. Sakura then rolls two sixes, absolutely astounding the surrounding gamers. Her opponent says it is just beginners luck and has her roll again. She continues to roll double sixes, something which Chunyan attributes to her being the beloved daughter of a God. Sakura becomes confused and disoriented when Chunyan asks if she had always been this lucky. She cannot recall! As Sakura repeats what she knows of her predicament, saying she heard this from "Syaoran-kun." Upon hearing this name, Syaoran remembers a moment where Sakura asked if she could call him simply Syaoran and said that he could call her Sakura rather than Sakura-hime.

Suddenly, the Ryanban's son smashes his way to a storefront, demanding the owner pay his taxes. The shop owner's daughter says she needs the money for medicine, as her grandfather is very sick. The Ryanban's son takes out his whip and is about to strike the woman and the old man, but just before Sakura jumps out infront of them to shield them from the blow. But Syaoran won't have it. Once again, he dropkicks the fat oaf. The Ryanban's son retaliates by revealing a gigantic fan which large beings sprout from. Chunyan exclaims that the fan used to belong to her mother who was killed by supporters of the Ryanban. Still, Syaoran combats the beings, which are huge warriors. He is faring well against them, to the astonishment of the Ryanban's son.
